Urgent openings for Hindustani Music (Vocal)

Job description

• Job Summary:
  1. Anchoring singing assemblies, music and hobby classes for Hindustani music (vocal). Teaching vocal music as an elective subject for ICSE and preparing students in theory as well as practical for the Board exams. The candidate would be responsible for motivating and enthusing students towards Hindustani music. The candidate would prepare students for items during cultural events or musical night. Would support class teachers for their class assemblies by providing the music component.
• Job Expectations:
  1. Apart from possessing a degree in Hindustani music, the candidate should have passion for Hindustani music and be pro-active in creating love for music among students. Pro-active by nature, the candidate should be competent and efficient in discharging duties in a child friendly and kind manner. Knowledge of folk / regional music as well as instruments would be an advantage. Prior experience in a residential school would be an added advantage. The candidate should participate wholeheartedly in all school activities.
     Candidate's approach should not be limited to textbook learning; must have a broad outlook and be able to view everything in an inter disciplinary perspective.
• Minimum qualification:
  1. Post-graduate in the subject
• Desired work experience:
  1. Minimum 5 years
