    At Jalgaon, a district headquarters and a major rail junction in North–West Maharashtra. Near Jain Hills, about 10 kilometers away from the railway station. Jalgaon is 28 kilometers away from Bhusawal and about 150 kilometers away from Aurangabad, the nearest airport.

    Shri Bhavarlal Jain, Founder Chairman of Jain Irrigation Systems and his family members have promoted Anubhuti. Shri Jain, Dadaji to all children, meets them on Sunday mornings.

    Anubhuti bases itself on the foundational beliefs set out in the "Statement of Purpose" authored by the Founder – a rational commitment to Indian culture, the principles of interdependence and enlightened entrepreneurship, the last of which we believe, is exceptional.

    A picturesque hundred acre campus; vast lawns with numerous sculptures; stunningly beautiful, climate sensitive buildings; excellent labs and library; home–like living spaces; vegetarian diet; great stress on sports, games, music, dance, arts and crafts; extensive use of solar/bio–power and recycling of waste on the campus; a select team of experienced teachers with a teacher student ratio of 1:7.   5. How different is learning at Anubhuti?
    Class room instruction and project work blend with supplementary work in the library, the labs and outdoors. Anubhuti discourages rote learning, offers remedial as well as enrichment classes and promotes appropriate use of IT/broadband internet. Arts and crafts form part of the curriculum on par with other subjects. The timetable allots composite periods for arts, crafts, dance and music to ensure adequate time. Morning assemblies are replete with chanting, singing, debates, elocution and presentations by students/teachers. There are classes in Hindustani music, tabla, flute, guitar and classical/folk dances. Children are encouraged to do activities in the science club, to work at the weather station, to do star gazing, to do bird watching, to spin on the charkha and do agriculture/community service. Previewed film classics are shown once a week.

    Workshops in core academic areas and co–curricular areas; e.g. Maths and linocut printing. Educational field trips guided by external faculty such as by author historian Michel Danino to Lothal and Dhola Vira. Interactions with professors from IIM, Ahmedabad and S P Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai. Attendance at Jain Irrigation’s Annual General Meetings, a two day workshop for students, teachers and parents by Dr. Anand Nadkarni, renowned psychiatrist on issues of growing up, parenting and interpersonal relations.   7. Which syllabus does Anubhuti follow? What is its present status?
    Anubhuti is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations. It follows the ICSE syllabus and takes no more than 25 learners in a division. Liberal choices for electives like Economics, Physical Education, Yoga, Music, Arts and Computer studies are offered in Class 9. English is the medium of learning. Hindi and Marathi are offered as second and third languages. Anubhuti has Classes 5 to 12 now. In Classes 11 and 12 we offer the Science, Commerce and Arts streams. The school also provides help for those who need to train for competitive examinations.
  8. How has its students fared in the ICSE Board examinations?
    Anubhuti has adopted the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). Summative scores (test marks) are added to formative scores (marks scored at classroom participation, project work etc.) for a complete evaluation.

  10. How do parents get to know about the progress of children?
    Detailed reports are sent to parents at the end of every term. Moreover, parents are invited regularly for interaction with teachers.
  11. What are the learning terms? How often can parents meet children?
    The first term extends from mid–June to October and the second from mid–November to March. Anubhuti observes about three weeks’ vacation between the two terms and about ten weeks’ vacation from April to June. Children are allowed to call home occasionally. Once in a term, children are allowed to go home for a week.
  12. What is the Anubhuti dress code?
    Anubhuti does not insist on a uniform; but we would wish that our students do not go in for branded clothes/footwear/watches. In other words, they stay away from the garish and learn to live with less. To conserve water, we have requested students to avoid wearing jeans.
  13. What are the physical facilities at Anubhuti?
    Learning blocks – each measuring over 4000 sq. ft – With twin well lit, cross–ventilated classrooms. Laboratory block with separate physics, chemistry, biology, math, geography and computer labs.
    Christened Dnyananubhuti, the Library with stocks graded books of fiction, children’s reference books, books of general interest, VCDs/DVDs of children films/classics, a collection of educational CDs like National Geographic, Discovery and BBC etc. which also houses Digital Library, Staff Library, Exam Halls, Conference Hall, Language Room, Smart room and state-of-the-art Auditorium.
    Vidyananubhuti is a Tinkering Lab, an innovation centre devoted to STEM education; a facility that takes learning beyond books and conventional classroom teaching.
    A huge assembly hall. Arts and Crafts block with separate rooms for drawing, painting, pottery, ceramics, batik, graphics and screen printing, a dance hall and music chamber. Open air amphi–theatre. Stadia for athletics/sports/games. A fully equipped audio visual room.
  14. What are the facilities for sports and games?
    Anubhuti lays great stress on the physical development of children. Yoga and Fitness Training are compulsory for all children. There are specialist teachers for football, basketball, cricket, tennis, hockey, volleyball, throw ball, Kabaddi, Kho–Kho, badminton, skating and athletics. Of course, there are facilities for indoor games like carom and chess. There are three badminton courts, six table tennis courts, a football ground, two basketball courts, a tennis court, a skating rink as well as cricket ground with pitch of international standards. Anubhuti students have already been selected for state and national level competitions.
  15. What are the residential facilities?
    Separate homes for boys and girls in which house parents and teachers live with their families. Four to six children in spacious rooms with separate lockers/learning–living spaces.
  16. What are the arrangements for food?
    State of the art kitchens and serving counters. Elegantly designed large dining hall with low laid granite tables entailing children to sit on the floor; large enough to accommodate five hundred at a time. Nutritious, balanced, wholesome vegetarian diet (without eggs) that includes milk products as advised by qualified professionals.
  17. What about health care?
    Anubhuti promotes a healthy life style and believes in preventive health care and has a full–fledged 24x7 infirmary and separate isolation wards for girls and boys with 2 Resident Medical Officers. Services of other specialists can always be availed on call as required. Jalgaon has a large number of well–qualified doctors and hospitals.
